KaiBuilds Browser Extension Privacy Policy

This policy covers KaiBuilds Chrome extensions published by Ani Kumar, including Refresh All Tabs, TackNote, Site Bulletin, TipDrop, and TrimText Quick.

Effective: June 23, 2026 Last updated: June 23, 2026 Publisher: KaiBuilds
Short version: KaiBuilds extensions are local-first. KaiBuilds does not operate a server that receives your extension data, does not sell or share your data, does not use ads, and does not include third-party analytics, telemetry, or tracking.

Scope

This policy applies to the Chrome extensions listed on this page. It does not apply to Chrome, Google account sync, the Chrome Web Store, websites you visit, or third-party services that you open separately from an extension.

Some extensions use Chrome extension storage APIs. Data stored through those APIs remains in your browser profile unless Chrome itself syncs it through your Google account settings. KaiBuilds cannot access that Chrome sync data.

What KaiBuilds Collects

KaiBuilds does not collect personal data through these extensions. The extensions do not send your extension data to KaiBuilds servers because there are no KaiBuilds servers for these extensions.

KaiBuilds does not collect or transmit personally identifiable information, health information, financial or payment information, authentication information, personal communications, location, web history, user activity, or website content.

KaiBuilds does not sell, share, transfer, rent, or monetize user data. KaiBuilds does not use extension data for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, profiling, analytics, machine learning training, or any purpose unrelated to the extension's stated function.

Extension-Specific Details

Refresh All Tabs

Refresh All Tabs reloads tabs at your request through the toolbar button, keyboard shortcut, options, or context menu. It may read tab URLs at refresh time so it can apply your include and skip patterns, but it does not read page content.

Stored data: local settings such as toggle states, URL include or skip patterns, reload delay, and related refresh preferences in chrome.storage.local. This data is not transmitted to KaiBuilds.

TackNote

TackNote stores user-created notes, snippets, and prompts in chrome.storage.sync, with local fallback behavior for browser storage limits. If Chrome sync is enabled, Google Chrome may sync those notes between browsers signed into your Google account. KaiBuilds cannot access this data.

TackNote can write note text to your clipboard when you click copy. It can inject a quick-insert picker only after you invoke the extension on a supported AI chat page. TackNote does not send note content to an AI model, server, analytics service, or tracking service.

Site Bulletin

Site Bulletin stores reminder rules locally in your browser, including URL patterns, titles, optional details, scope, reminder style, and snooze state. Rules are stored in chrome.storage.local and are not transmitted to KaiBuilds.

Site Bulletin requests host permission only for sites where you create or enable a rule. It uses those permissions to display the reminder on matching pages. It does not collect browsing history or send page content to any server.

TipDrop

TipDrop displays packaged loading-screen tips on sites you enable. The tip catalog is bundled with the extension and loaded from the extension package, not from a remote server.

Stored data: enabled site permissions, recently shown tips, cooldown timing, and downvoted tip IDs in chrome.storage.local. This data stays in your browser and is not transmitted to KaiBuilds.

TrimText Quick

TrimText Quick compresses text locally in the extension popup using deterministic browser-side rules. Text you paste into the popup does not leave your device.

Stored data: none in version 0.1.0. The popup input and output clear when the popup closes. The extension can write output text to your clipboard when you click copy; it does not read from the clipboard.

Permissions

Each extension requests only the Chrome permissions needed for its function. Depending on the extension, these may include storage, tabs, windows, contextMenus, clipboardWrite, scripting, activeTab, webNavigation, or optional host permissions.

Optional host permissions are requested only when needed for an extension feature you enable, such as a Site Bulletin rule or TipDrop site. You can manage or revoke site access from Chrome's extension settings.

Retention and Deletion

Local extension data remains in your Chrome profile until you delete it, reset the extension's settings where available, or uninstall the extension. Data in chrome.storage.sync is controlled by Chrome and your Google account sync settings.

Because KaiBuilds does not receive or store your extension data, KaiBuilds cannot retrieve, export, or delete extension data on your behalf. You control it through Chrome.

Children's Privacy

These extensions are general-purpose productivity tools. They are not directed to children, and KaiBuilds does not knowingly collect personal information from children through these extensions.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new effective date or updated date. Material changes will also be reflected in relevant Chrome Web Store listing or release notes when appropriate.
